Get breastfeeding off to the right start before baby arrives! I will go over your health history, birth plans, and what to expect after delivery. I will answer any questions you have and provide guidance about any potential obstacles.

Lactation and Feeding Services
Initial Home Visit
90-120 minutes
Individualized in-home breastfeeding and/or bottle-feeding support within 25 miles of 77095, I will conduct a pre-feed and posts-feed weight, review birth and health history, complete oral assessment of infant and maternal assessment. Includes unlimited 2 weeks of follow-up via secured messaging or text.

Initial Virtual Visit
60-90 minutes
Individualized virtual breastfeeding/bottle-feeding support. I will review your feeding goals, answer your questions, gather birth and health history, assess baby’s mouth via pictures and videos sent before the consult, and complete a maternal assessment and complete an overall assessment of breast and/or bottle feeding as needed. Includes unlimited 2 weeks of follow-up via secured messaging or text.

Starting Solids
45-60 minutes
Be prepared to transition your baby from breast/or bottle to solids. Get help with recommendations for utensils, seating, cup, and diet progression. Preparation can begin at 4-5 months. Solids should begin no earlier than 6 months

Yes, through The Lactation Network. Some insurance policies cover the entire cost of a visit minus any travel fees. The Lactation Network can check your insurance benefits and obtain pre-approval prior to booking your consultation. I encourage anyone with commercial insurance to apply as TLN adds new policies. TLN accepts most:
Anthem PPO plans
BCBS PPO plans—expect federal employee plan
Cigna PPO plans
UMR plans w/ “multiplan” logo only
United plans w/ “multiplan” logo only
Multiplan logo on card regardless of carrier
PNOA logo on card regardless of carrier

if you do not have insurance or your insurance is not covered by The Lactation Network, payment is due at the time of booking. I will provide a super bill so you can seek reimbursement for services. Although the ACA mandates lactation services, reimbursement is not guaranteed.

if needing to cancel or reschedule, this must be communicated at least 24 hours before the appointment time. Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice from the scheduled appointment time is subject to a $50 cancellation fee. No cancellation fee will be charged due to illness if the appointment is rescheduled within 5-10 days. Cancellation fees are not eligible for insurance reimbursement and a superbill will not be provided for them.
